On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, the Alexander Girardi Hall will host two screenings of the event film: Hermann Buhl: Beyond Every Summit by Werner Bertolan.
On July 3, 1953, Hermann Buhl undertakes one of the most extraordinary feats in the history of mountaineering: the first solo ascent without oxygen of Nanga Parbat, the eighth highest mountain in the world.
In 41 hours of crossing, Buhl challenges the unknown, extreme fatigue, and solitude, marking a turning point in modern mountaineering.
The film, which includes archival footage, testimonies, and reenactments, explores both the mountaineering and personal aspects of Buhl, highlighting his determination and courage.
First screening at 18:00
Second screening at 20:30
