Commedia “Innocenti, ma non troppo”

The theatrical group I Comelianti presents its new comedy titled "Innocents, but not too much".

In a meadow, the corpse of a man, the unloved husband of a beautiful woman, is discovered. Perhaps he was accidentally killed by an old man, maybe a prude spinster, or perhaps the wife...

The protagonists of this sort of hilarious "Cluedo", engaged with a body to disappear and... reappear, bring to life a series of comedic events and grotesque situations: how will they get out of this? Perhaps guilty. Or maybe innocent... But not too much...

Loosely inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's movie "The Wrong Man," the comedy captures the atmosphere of the 1950s in a small American countryside town, with all its picturesque human cases.

With this particular piece, referencing one of the most unique works of the master of suspense, I Comelianti offers a fast-paced comedy with an essential setup.

The space is defined by the relationships between the characters, and the scenery supports the web woven by the protagonists.

The text, ironic and subtle, entertains but also, in a sense, provokes reflection: in the delightful whirlwind of relationships, complicity, alliances, and intrigues, it clearly emerges how fragile truth can be.

And we hope, in the investigation to find the culprits, to elicit a few smiles from you... strictly noir!
