The Borgo di Sottoguda, certified in 2016 as One of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, is a jewel box at the foot of the Queen of the Dolomites, the Marmolada, nestled between the vertical rocks of the famous Serrai di Sottoguda and the marvellous 'bosch di faièr', a beautiful beech forest, one of the highest in Europe, which reaches its maximum splendour in autumn.
On 2nd November, the Borgo Sottoguda Association is organising a chestnut party starting at 3pm right in the heart of the village, in the little square in front of the church. Chestnuts, potatoes and cheese will accompany a cheerful afternoon.
