Bio Film Festival

Agricultural and environmental biodiversity is a treasure of invaluable value that we are called to protect for future generations. It plays a fundamental role not only in the conservation of ecosystems but also in shaping our culture, economy, and gastronomy. The Bio Film Festival, in its third edition in 2025, is committed to raising public awareness about the importance of biodiversity and stimulating concrete actions for its preservation. This year's edition will focus on the theme of ecological regeneration.

Through a selection of films that explore the many facets of biodiversity—from the delicate natural balance to the impact of climate change, from innovative solutions for sustainable agriculture to stories of communities defending their land—the festival will promote debate and inspire collective commitment. The festival will once again be a tribute to nature and an opportunity to celebrate the year's harvest, reinforcing the connection between the environment and human well-being.

Set in the picturesque province of Belluno, among the majestic Dolomites (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the festival will take place in the Municipality of Sospirolo. An outdoor theatre, immersed in greenery, will offer a unique and enchanting backdrop for a cinematic experience that combines natural beauty and relevant content. The Bio Film Festival 2025 will showcase a variety of works, including documentaries, short fictional films, and animations, each offering a different perspective on biodiversity and ecological sustainability.

The films will be both a reflection on the current state of our planet and an invitation to take concrete actions for the protection of natural resources.

During the final evening, the Best Documentary, Best Short Film, and Best Animated Short Film will be awarded, celebrating the creativity and commitment of filmmakers tackling environmental challenges. The festival's logo, depicting a child repopulating a grey world devoid of biodiversity, symbolizes hope, regeneration, and the possibility of a renewed future.

 The Bio Film Festival 2025 aims to serve as a significant platform for educating, engaging, and promoting actions for the conservation of ecosystems and the agricultural and landscape heritage that makes our land unique.
