"Aesthetics and emotion"

Friday, July 18, at 6:00 PM, at the Mario Rimoldi Modern Art Museum presentation of the book by Chiara Costa “Aesthetics and Emotion. Enzo Di Martino's Relationship with Works of Art and Artists”.

An opportunity to explore the relationships between perception and artwork, as well as the value of the relationship between the ancient and the contemporary.

A chance to learn about the immaterial legacy of art critic Enzo Di Martino, author of the book “The History of the Venice Biennale” and a key figure in important documentary rediscoveries, such as the baptismal certificate of Piranesi.

And to note how his thoughts and feelings connected him to a great artist from the Dolomites, Paolo Barozzi, of whom the Mario Rimoldi Modern Art Museum hosts an important retrospective, open until October 5.

*Enzo Di Martino was an art critic and journalist. Author of the book “The History of the Venice Biennale”, he curated exhibitions in national and international museums. He published extensive catalogs dedicated to great contemporary artists and was instrumental in important documentary rediscoveries, and among the authors of the “Declaration of Venice” related to Graphic Arts, founder of the International Center for Graphic Arts in Venice.

*Chiara Costa: art critic, specialized post-graduate in Art History and Minor Arts, she won the PhD scholarship in History and Criticism of Artistic, Musical, and Performance Goods at the University of Padua. She has given lectures and conferences, received an award at Campidoglio as an art critic, and curated numerous international art exhibitions.
