When autumn arrives, nature is painted in its most beautiful colors and gives succulent and delicious fruits before giving itself the deserved rest under the snowy covers. It is the period of the harvest of the Prussian apple or Pom Prussian in the territory of Sovramonte, in the Feltrino area.
To celebrate this typical product grown organically and naturally, every year in October at Faller di Sovramonte is organized the Prussian Apple Fair.
The village of Faller is dressed for a party and along the streets of the town are the protagonists typical products, traditional crafts, perfumes and aromas of yesteryear.
Ample space is reserved for qualified farms and local producers, carefully selected to guarantee the authenticity and quality of the fruits of the land of Feltre and Belluno.
Numerous refreshment points where you can taste the good dishes of local tradition, taste homemade cakes, or simply drink a glass in joy cheer up the streets of Faller.
The protagonist of many culinary delicacies is, of course, the Prussian apple, which came to Valbelluna from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century, when the emigrated workers returned from Prussia to their lands carrying with them some of these apples.
